Georgia law now requires volunteers in our schools to be mandated reporters of suspected child abuse. A handout and website can be found at the bottom of this page that provide further information. When you go to the website below, you will need to click on the link to the right of the page titled "Mandated Reporter Training." Any, and all, volunteers in Whitfield County Schools must complete the training online and print a certificate of completion that should be submitted to the school in which you will be volunteering. If needed, you may use a school computer to complete the training. Please make sure to sign the handout, verifying that you have completed the training and it will be kept on file at the school in which you volunteer. Parents who volunteer in multiple schools will need to supply the certificate of completion to each school.
